Does this make anyone elses blood boil? Who believes this course of action is the way we should be helping inividuals find the American Dream? I wish that those who are being manipulated could "see" how they are being manipulated. Perhaps things would change.

My "favorite" is the elimination of payroll taxes for those making less than $15,000. Isn't the point of Social Security to force those who normally wouldn't save for their retirement (such as those making less money)to put some money down for the future? Thus the payroll tax has a cap on it at about $90K because once you become that "well off" you don't need SS. If anything, it is those making small incomes that should be contributing. As for me, just let me have my contributions (I mean "donations") and I will gladly invest them myself.
To your bigger point, the politics of envy are hard to beat. Makes me think the Democrats are the "green" party for sure.
