I actually think much of what the Democrats are doing is going to backfire in the long run. But even still the abosolutely poor showing by Republicans in fighting back is a big disappointment. Even more so, is the collapse of a solid Republican agenda (lower taxes, lower spending, secure borders, etc). And while I believe things would be worse if the Democrats were in power, I can justify getting excited about supporting the GOP right now.

I have to give credit to the GOP on this one this one. Great move from the Speaker. It's funny how upset the Democrats are getting as I thought all they wanted was an opportunity to debate the issue. I suppose they didn't realize they would actually have to take a documented stand on the issue.

In watching the debate on C-Span, I notice the Democrats want to steer the debate by asserting that this is an attack on Representative Murtha and made even worse because he is a former Marine. Pelosi's took the cake but that is no surprise as I have yet to see anything come out of here mouth that isn't pure leftist hysterics. Two thoughts. One, where were the Democrats when Senator Durbin was slandering the Armed Forces on the floor of the Senate? Second, Representative Murtha was criticized not because he is a former Marine but rather as a member of Congress he made statements that were just plain irresponsible and ridiculous.
